Baking at home - inspired by traveling

My family and friends would say that a word to describe me is Wanderlust. I am always looking to explore and travel but when I am home I would say they would describe me as Creative. I create jewelry using polymer clay, I take fine art and portrait photographs, I enjoy cooking, and I love to bake.

Every Christmas I create cookie baskets for my friends and family. I usually try to make at least 12 different cookies, bars, or candies. Here are some photos of the cookies I have been testing. I have also included some pictures of desserts I have made this year. As I continue baking I'll share photographs and details!

Chocolate crinkle cookies and Lavender flavored stars

..Lemon buttermilk cookies - inspired by our trips to South Carolina and Georgia.

Cherry vanilla biscotti - inspired by trips to Italy.

Coconut oatmeal cookies and French Macaroons - The macaroons were inspired by our trip to Nice France.
The Elvis Cupcake - Banana cupcake, peanut butter frosting, with/or without bacon, and a caramelized banana.
Seafoam candy and sea salt caramels - inspired by New England beaches.
4th of July inspiration - Vanilla cupcakes with Italian Meringue frosting and fresh fruit.
Strawberry and Prickly Pear teacup cupcakes w/ powdered sugar art and white chocolate decorations.
